Overview
This page explains how to delete your data from Qissa: Bedtime Story Maker, operated by Ark Horizon LLC. You can delete everything yourself — most of it never leaves your device — and you can ask us to remove your account data at any time.
What Data Qissa Holds
On our servers (only if you created an account):
- Your email address
- Account and subscription status
- Story usage counts (e.g. how many stories you've generated)
On your device only (never uploaded to us): your child profiles (name, age range, language, trait) and your saved stories.
Subscription and purchase records are held by the Apple App Store, Google Play, and our billing processor (RevenueCat) — not stored by Qissa beyond your account's subscription status.
Delete Your Account and Server-Side Data
In the app (fastest): open Account → Delete account. This permanently removes your account record and its server-side data — your email address, account status, and story usage counts.
By email: if you can't access the app, email us at hello@qissa-stories.com from the email address on your account (or naming it) and ask us to delete your account. We'll verify the request and delete your data within 30 days.
Delete On-Device Data (Child Profiles & Stories)
Your child profiles and saved stories live only on your device and are never uploaded to our servers. Deleting or reinstalling the app permanently removes them from the device — there's no server step, and because this data was never uploaded, it cannot be recovered afterward.
Subscriptions & Purchases
Subscriptions and one-time purchases are managed by the App Store or Google Play, not by Qissa. Deleting your Qissa data does not cancel a subscription. To cancel, use your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings; refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.
How Long It Takes
In-app account deletion removes your account record immediately. Email requests are processed within 30 days of us verifying the request.
